Footloose Ladies

The walking group began in 1992 with two members of St. Barnabas Church, and has grown to around 40 interested people, who come when they can, the number walking at any one time varying between two and fourteen !

We go out every other Monday throughout the year, travelling in members' cars, and visiting the North York Moors, the coast, the Dales, Co. Durham, or the Lakes, and our walks vary between 4 and 8 miles in length.

The majority of the membership is drawn from St. Barnabas Church, but others are very welcome, and frequently join in.  We take a packed lunch with us, and usually round off the day with tea and scones in a cafe near the end of the walk route.
