Wydale Retreat

Wydale is a week's holiday, usually in May, at the York Diocesan Retreat Centre. Wydale is set in beautiful countryside a few miles outside of Scarborough and within easy reach of Thornton-le-Dale and Dalby Forest. Wydale Hall itself is very comfortable, with every room now fitted with en suite facilities. The Wydale holiday is an informal affair, with the emphasis on laughter, fellowship, reflection, rest and the occasional quiz and crossword.  There is worship too. The dates will not suit anyone with a young family but is aimed at those not constrained by school holidays.

Green Gables Parish Weekend

We have  gone to Green Gables a few times, the next weekend there being from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th November 2006. There is something for everyone on our parish weekend at Green Gables Hotel - an opportunity to discover new gifts and make new friends, as well as relax.   This is a chance for all ages to be together. Green Gables Hotel is in Scarborough and has en-suite rooms, a small swimming pool, snooker rooms and a licensed bar.

Criccieth Holiday Camps

Every year a group of children from the Pathfinders and CYFA youth groups at St. Barnabas Church go on a camping holiday at Criccieth in North Wales.  They always seem to have a wonderful time there, and come back talking about it for weeks !
