The Mescos

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This comes with our warm greetings and our thanks for your prayers and your help with my new ministry amongst the Andean people in the Colca Canyon.

This last week I went on a missionary journey, together with a group of medical volunteers, taking the message of Christ and giving out bibles to adults and children in the mountains.

I would ask you to please continue to pray for me, because the work is hard and the journey is long and dangerous, but Christ called us to take his message to all creatures and that is my dream.

We also showed the Jesus film in Quechua, based on St Luke’s gospel, in the evenings at every village, and it made a big impact. The children were always the first to welcome us to each village.

This all encourages me greatly, despite the fact that the devil loves to put us to the test, hoping to discourage us. However, I am certain that Christ is Lord and that he will strengthen us in our work.

For now we are on our own, but I am praying that God will send me two companions for this missionary work.

Finally, I pray that God will pour out his blessings on you all: on your families, your work and the ministries that you have been given in the church of the Lord.
