| Rev Canon Erik Wilson - Vicar and Rural Dean of Middlesbrough Erik is responsible for St Barnabas Church and is married to Jane, who is a schoolteacher at Ayresome Primary School; they have two grown up sons, Andrew and Paul. Erik trained as a curate at St Barnabas Church before moving to Hull where they spent ten happy years and was vicar of St Martin’s parish. They returned to Middlesbrough in 1998 when he became vicar. Erik says "We love St Barnabas and the area in which it is set. Seeking to follow Christ has led us in to adventures and challenges we would never have dreamed of and we are deeply grateful to God for calling us into the kingdom of his Son."

Rev Nick Barr-Hamilton - Curate
Nick says, "After graduating from university I worked in London for 6 years in finance, where I was very involved in a church. My job came to an end and I moved to Hull where I began full time church work, during which time I met Lucy. I have been married to Lucy since June 2005 and after studying at theological college together we arrived at St Barnabas in 2008. We are both involved in the youth work at St Barnabas, with a focus on the teenagers. We both love cooking and photography, and have a baby daughter who keeps us busy." |
| Rev Ray Morris - Honorary Curate Ray Morris has been a non stipendiary (unpaid) ordained member of the staff of St Barnabas Church since 1991. He worked for thirty three years for Social Services in the Juvenile Courts and in Adoption and Fostering. He retired from social work in 2002 and simultaneous with his role at St Barnabas took up the chaplaincy at Teesside Hospice. His main pastime is solving cryptic crosswords. He is married with two children and four grandchildren.

Canon Jenny Reid - Reader Jenny has been a Reader at St Barnabas since 2002. A former French/ Music teacher and university lecturer, she was also Director of Music at St Barnabas for many years. She is a member of several diocesan committees, Archbishop's Council and General Synod and was recently made a Canon of York Minster. She has two grown up daughters. Jenny says: 'I love the opportunities that Reader ministry gives to serve God in many different ways, both in the church and in the world'. |
| John Ravalde - Reader John Ravalde was licensed as a Reader in 1994. This is a part-time and unpaid ministry which includes worship leading, preaching and some pastoral involvement. His paid work is as a Solicitor, and he is married to Sue with a son at University.
