Boro Angels
Boro Angels is a ‘street ministry’ project which sees the church working in partnership with the local Authority, the Middlesbrough town centre pubs and clubs, taxi’s and other night time businesses to make an impact on the safety and well being of all those out on the town on a Saturday night. We currently have a group of volunteers representing both Christian, non Christian and other faiths who are giving their time late on Saturday nights into the early hours of Sunday morning and we are making a real impact on our town. As Christians we are finding lots of opportunities to witness but the main aim of this project is to care for those who have become or are at risk of becoming vulnerable. We escort people to safety, provide first aid, flip flops for bare feet and ensure anybody who is directly vulnerable is passed to someone or a Service that can care for them. The launch of a Café venue ‘Rendez Vous’ as an operating base and place of rest opened during the Bank holiday weekend and we are hoping for the opportunity to develop our outreach through this venue. We are still in need of more volunteers so if you feel able to contribute in any ways please do speak to either Tracey Brittain or Linda Peacock. Additionally, as ever we really do need your continued prayer support and anybody who would like to pray in a more focused way can email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
