praying handsPrayer is for all

Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.     Philippians 4:6 - 7

Over the past few years, Prayer Ministry has become a 'normal' part of Church life at St Barnabas.  Sunday by Sunday, following the 10.00 am and 6.30 pm services, people come forward to the team to request prayer for any needs they want to bring before God.

We all have times in life when we find prayer difficult and we struggle to talk to God about the things we may be going through.  The Prayer Ministry team members are trained to listen and pray for you.  Your request may be for healing;  for family or work problems;  for God's direction for your life, or for peace and blessing.  This Ministry is confidental and will not be discussed with others.  You don't even have to give specific details, just ask for God's peace and help in your situation.

We believe in a God of miracles and we welcome everyone to come forward for prayer.  At the recent renewal weekend, when the speaker invited people to come for prayer, it was so encouraging to see the chancel area filled with people seeking more of God in their lives.
